Animal Care CenterWelcome to the Animal Care Center website. We are honored to provide you the highest quality veterinary services for your farm and companion animal medical needs, through compassionate and complete comprehensive patient care. We understand that choosing a veterinarian is an important decision. Dr. Yolonda Gray and the ACC staff are trained veterinary professionals that strive to meet your special veterinary needs, making your choice for your animal's veterinary care an easy one.

We are a full service veterinary hospital. Our knowledgeable staff and our facilities allow us to offer you a wide range of veterinary services, to include small animal wellness/preventative care, surgical procedures (including spay/neuters, dental and orthopedic), medical treatments, canine behavioral assistance, a comprehensive diagnostic laboratory with radiography, ultrasound and same day blood chemistry results, boarding and grooming, home pick-up and delivery for elderly and disabled, in house pharmacy and Equine and Livestock medical assistance.   We are proud to be the only Kansas State approved laboratory in Southeast Kansas, giving us the ability to provide you with same day results on Coggins test for your horses.  Our large animal working facilities can accommodate small groups of cattle and meet your emergency needs.

Please take the time to tour our web-site for the information you need in making your decision on what we believe is the best in the area.

Dr. Gray and the veterinary staff of the Animal Care Center, who are dedicated to helping you give your pet a long high quality life!  We invite you to make 2012 Pet Wellness Year.

Save Money!  Help keep veterinary costs low by following these guidelines:

  • Keep pets up to date on important vaccines, parasite prevention and annual physical examinations.  It is much less expensive to prevent disease than it is to treat it.
  • Don't put off that annual examination.  Your skilled veterinarian can help you detect illness in early stages before illness become life threatening.  Delaying an exam could lead to higher expenses!
  • Resolve to keep good communication with your veterinarian and veterinary health care staff members.  Working together is the key to good pet health care.
  • Commit to helping your pet loose weight by feeding a properly balance pet food and daily exercise.  Obesity can lead to many health problems such as diabetes, pancreatitis, and mobility problems.  A fit pet is healthier and less expense to keep healthy than having to treat for diabetes.
  • Volunteer at a local animal shelter.  The shelter will appreciate your time and you will also learn why spaying and neutering can help save lives.
  • Promise to discuss all aspects of your pet's health care with your veterinarian before acting on information you find on the internet.  Remember the internet can be a valuable tool, even your veterinarian uses it, however, nothing replaces your veterinarian's skill and experience in treating your pet.  Your vet is your pet's health care expert and is happy to answer your questions.
